Société Générale will contribute a tranche of €20m to the loan while the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) will provide €77.5m. The total cost of the project is €410m.

The new Line M12 will run from Kazik Karabekir to 60 Yil Parki with 11 stations including interchanges with Line M5 at Çarsi, Line M4 at Yeni Sahra, and the Marmaray commuter line at Göztepe. The line will include two underground rolling stock depots.

Line M12 will have a design capacity of 44,000 passengers/hour/direction and is expected to carry 350,000 passengers a day.
