Field tests overseen by KTZ showed that the Tetra over ETCS solution offers stable performance on the entirety of the line when the signalling system is operating under regular and high load traffic.

Line tests followed extensive lab testing by Teltronic and Bombardier engineers in Gothenburg.

Teltronic says the system offers safe and efficient communications, including voice, operational data and ETCS signalling data over a single application.

“In areas of the world where customers can choose the technology to support ETCS, Tetra is an interesting option, especially in countries which do not have an allocated spectrum for GSM-R for transport,” says Mr Felipe Sanjuán, transport business development director at Teltronic.
