VOSSLOH and data analysis company Predge from Luleå, Sweden, have announced a strategic cooperation to develop a predictive model for switches to provide accurate failure forecasts and valuable insights into imminent failures.

The agreement will combine Vossloh's expertise in the development and manufacture of switch machines with Predge’s comprehensive expertise in the areas of data analysis and artificial intelligence.

“With the help of this trend-setting prediction model, our customers will be able to plan their maintenance activities more proactively, in greater detail and more effectively in the future, noticeably reducing the number of failures and significantly increasing the availability of the track,” says Vossloh CEO, Mr Oliver Schuster. “At the same time, we gain an even deeper insight into the interaction of the various track components.”

“We specialise in creating state-of-the-art predictive maintenance solutions and design our AI models specifically for operational use,” says Predge CEO, Mr Simo Pykälistö. “By working with Vossloh, we can extend our offering to switch machines, making our predictive insights available to a wider market.”
