The steel manufacturer will supply its R260 rail and says that it will engage in batch deliveries over a short timescale. British Steel says it is likely to produce the rail at its Hayange site in France rather than at its steel mill in Scunthorpe, Britain, due to location and logistics.
The contract follows recent success for British Steel with Network Rail, Translink Northern Ireland, Infrabel, Belgium, and Italian Rail Network.
