The contract is worth €71.4m, split equally between the two companies, and includes turnouts, walkways, handrails and tunnel marking. Line 14 is a rubber-tyred metro and is entirely automated.
This 14km southern extension of Line 14 will connect the current terminus at Olympiades with Orly airport. The journey time is estimated at 16 minutes.
Paris Transport Authority (RATP) started test running on the 6.4km northern extension to Line 14 in February.
