Siemens is showing off it’s driverless tram technology in Potsdam. A Combino LRV uses a combination of video, Lidar and radar sensors to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings, and stop automatically if something obstructs the vehicles progress. The LRV has a range of approx 100m when travelling at its top speed of 50km/h.
