On September 18, the highlights include the presentation of the World Market Study 2018 conducted in partnership with Roland Berger at 15.00, and a discussion of the implementation of the Fourth Railway Package at 16.15. Mr Philippe Citroen Unife’s director general will be joined by Mr Josef Doppelbauer, executive director of the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA), and Mr Christian Rausch, head of regulation and standards management at Bombardier Transportation for the discussion. In addition, Citroen will discuss the achievements and future strategy for IRIS certification with the Mr Stefan Siegler, chairman and vice president for business excellence and quality management at Siemens (17.00).

Among the highlights on September 19, is a debate which Citroen will host on developing a competitive European supply industry (11.15). He will be joined by MEP Ms Martina Werner, Ms Gwenole Cozgiou, director of DG Move at the European Commission, and Mr Julien Tognola, head of the industry department at the French ministry of economy and finance. Unife will also host discussions of its various partnerships with organisations from around the world, including the American Public Transportation Association (Apta) (14.00), Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) (14.30), and Russia’s UIRE (15.00). On September 20, Unife will host a “dialogue forum” on ERTMS at the Palais am Funkturm from 10.00 until 12.00.

The Shift2Rail joint technology initiative will host a range of presentations of more than 20 technologies at its stand, also in Hall 4.2, including Connected Trams, lean tamping, an onboard obstacle detection system, and moving block signalling solutions.

On September 18, the initiative’s executive director, Mr Carlo Borghini, will join MEP and mayor of Valenciennes, Mr Dominique Riquet, Mr Alberto Parrondo, Vice President, Thales, and Citroen at Unife’s stand for a discussion on the contribution of the European rail supply industry to developing an innovative and digital railway system (14.00).
