Under the contract, Wi-Tronix will equip CBH locomotives with a suite of tools to allow remote real-time access to onboard data which can then be downloaded wirelessly. The system is able to monitor fuel consumption, emergency brake applications and detect excessive periods of idling. This should help CBH to improve fuel efficiency and asset utilisation.

CBH started operating its own grain trains in 2012 following the acquisition of 574 wagons and 22 diesel locomotives.
