Testing continued on the VUZ test track at nearby Cerhenice, where the ETCS-equipped locomotive operated under both 3kV dc and 25kV 50 Hz ac electrification systems.

The locomotive will be unveiled at the Czech Raildays exhibition in Ostrava on June 14, when it will be named by former Czechoslovakian international footballer Mr Antonín Panenka.

ČD Cargo plans to use the fleet of five 6.4MW locomotives on automotive trains between Slovakia and Germany, as well as other cross-border workings.
