The locomotives will be used by RCC in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The 1550kW EffiLiner 1600 is rebuilt from a Czech class 753 diesel locomotive and equipped with a Caterpillar CAT 3512 C-HD prime mover, which is compliant with EU Stage IIIA emissions regulations. The locomotive also features a digital control system, automatic speed control, GSM/GPS remote condition monitoring, and electrodynamic brakes.
The EffiLiner 1600 was designed specifically for freight use in the Visegrád countries and is already in service with operators including CER Cargo and Unipetrol Doprava.
RCC is due to receive the second of the two locomotives from CZ Loko this month.
