The three-car trains, which will operate on the Seaford and Gawler lines, can accommodate 240 seated passengers as well as up to 300 standing passengers, and are designed for Adelaide’s hot summers.

Bombardier began supplying DMUs to Adelaide from 2005 and has been supplying EMUs from its Dandenong facility since 2011.

Bombardier currently has industrial design, engineering, manufacturing, maintenance and signalling teams based in Australia.
