Arenaways offers a single fare of just Euros 17 between the two cities,but its trains will not stop at intermediate stations because the
regulator is concerned that this will have a negative impact on
Trenitalia regional services, which are subsidised by the state. CEO Mr
Giuseppe Arena says he is unhappy with the paths allocated by
infrastructure manager Italian Railway Network (RFI) and plans to lodge
an appeal with the Transport Ministry.
Arenaways is marketing a "no stress" travel concept and offers a broad
range of onboard services including a supermarket and a drycleaner.
