INTERNATIONAL Railway Journal is very pleased to announce that Richard Clinnick has joined the editorial team this week as Associate Editor.

Clinnick joins IRJ after 15.5 years with Rail, a respected British bi-weekly newsstand title, which caters for an industry and an enthusiast market. Clinnick held various roles with Rail, serving most recently as head of news as well as assistant editor and features editor. He replaces Oliver Cuenca.

Clinnick brings a wealth of industry experience, a large contacts book and extensive social media following. Highlights during his time at Rail include offering insight to Britain's Transport Select Committee in March 2020, travelling to Africa and America for press events, and representing the brand in numerous television and radio appearances. He says he is excited by a new challenge of reporting on the global railway industry.

“I am delighted that Richard has decided to join us at IRJ,” says editor-in-chief, Kevin Smith. “I believe he will become an invaluable asset to our team as we strive to continue to provide the industry-leading coverage that IRJ is renowned for. I am sure IRJ subscribers will enjoy reading his contributions both online and in print.”
