The Czech Export Bank will loan the Serbian government Euros 120
million for the project, which involves electrification and upgrading
of infrastructure for 120km/h operation.

The 40km Niš - Dmitrovgrad line is Serbia's only direct rail connection with
Bulgaria. It forms part of the 161km southeastern branch of
Pan-European Corridor 10, which links Austria and Hungary with Greece
and Bulgaria. The line is the only section of Corridor 10 within Serbia
still to be electrified.
