DB boss Mehdorn tenders resignation

DB used private investigators to conduct secret surveillance of large numbers of its workforce in an anti-corruption drive, but the admission drew widespread criticism in Germany, prompting speculation about Mehdorn’s future. His successor is yet to be announced.
