DB established DB Broadband as a subsidiary to manage the sale in 2019 and says the network offers municipalities and businesses immediate access to a modern fibre optic supply.
DB Broadband also manages DB’s wayside property which is available for use for telecommunications infrastructure such as 4G and 5G radio masts, which supports the expansion of mobile coverage along rail routes as well as 4G and 5G coverage requirements from frequency auctions.
