Deliveries will begin in 2011 following the
completion of the existing order for 424 vehicles signed in July 2007.
The first 36 cars from this contract were assembled at Bombardier's
Görlitz site in Germany, before production shifted to a new Euros 33
million manufacturing facility at Salvi in the Indian state of Gujarat.
The first Delhi Movia trains entered service in June 2009 and more than
160 vehicles of this type have now been delivered to DMRC.

All 78 vehicles from the latest order will be produced at Salvi and
will support the Phase 2 expansion of Delhi Metro, which will extend
the network to 125km.
