Under the deal, Bombardier will maintain an additional two Traxx locomotives and 34 double-deck intermediate and driving trailer coaches until 2022 at a cost of Euros 19 million. LNVG has also extended the duration of its existing contract with Bombardier to maintain 38 Traxx locomotives and 186 double-deck coaches to 2022. This is worth an extra Euros 41 million to Bombardier.
The push-pull trains are operated under a concession by Metronom Railway on various regional services in Lower Saxony.
