NS Hispeed also has announced that Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris Thalys
services will be diverted over both sections of HSL South from December
13 running at 160km/h between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Rotterdam,
and 300km/h on the Rotterdam - Antwerp leg.
Trial running using the
first two of AnsaldoBreda V250 emus on HSL-Zuid and in Belgium's
started recently, with tests focussing on ERTMS performance and
Technical Specifications of Interoperability (TSI). Amsterdam -
Breda/Brussels services should start up from the third quarter of next
year under the brand-name ‘Fyra'. NS Hispeed expects to achieve a 35%
market share on the Amsterdam - Rotterdam route by 2011.
