SOCIÉTÉ du Grand Paris (SGP) has awarded Kontron Transportation a 15-year contract to supply, install, and maintain a private radio system for the Grand Paris Express Line 18.
The contract includes the deployment of a 4G public-safety LTE (PS-LTE) radio system, wireless broadband network infrastructure, onboard devices and mobile terminals across 35km of line and associated stations between Orly and Versailles.
The Grand Paris Express project will extend the French capital’s metro and light rail network by 200km and 68 stations and improve connections between the city centre and outer suburbs. Line 18 will connect the rapidly expanding Paris-Saclay research and development hub to Orly Airport and the city of Versailles.
