TORONTO's transport authority, Metrolinx, has announced that it will purchase 50 double-deck commuter coaches from Bombardier in a deal worth $C 125 million.
TORONTO's transport authority, Metrolinx, has announced that it will purchase 50 double-deck commuter coaches from Bombardier in a deal worth $C 125 million.

Production of the vehicles is scheduled to start in June at Bombardier's Thunder Bay plant in Ontario. The first coaches will be delivered in November and will be used on Metrolink's Go Transit commuter services.
Go Transit currently operates a fleet of 495 Bombardier double-deck coaches, which seat between 136 and 162 passengers. The first vehicles were received in 1978 and Go Transit has received seven separate batches.
