During the upgrade, the vehicles will undergo changes to improve services for passengers, including the installation of air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and more comfortable seats which will have individual electrical outlets.

Each four-car train will be equipped with a mobile phone signal amplifier and two vending machines for drinks and snacks. The trains will also be adapted for passengers with reduced mobility, as well as spaces to store bicycles.

The modernised trains will be primarily used for Wrocław - Lublin and Wrocław - Kielce services.

Modernisation of all 14 EMUs will be completed within four years and the first two sets will be completed within two years.
