The 200km/h units will used to haul passenger and freight trains in Germany and Austria. Each four-axle Vectron will weigh 87 tonnes. Delivery will start in mid-2012.
Vectron is available in multi-system, ac or dc electric and diesel-electric versions and is the successor to Siemens' Eurosprinter and Eurorunner locomotives.
