The 202km line has a maximum operating speed of 350km/h and was
completed in just 20 months. It has nine stations and is expected to
carry around 80 million passengers per year.
A new Chinese rail speed record was set on the new line on September 28, when a CRH-380A set reached 416.6km/h.
The opening of the link takes the total extent of China's operational high-speed network to 7431km.
