The new line is expected to carry 55,000 passengers a day, and has interchanges with the North-South Line at Bishan and the North-East Line at Serangoon.
The five stations on the line feature works of art by local artists as part of the LTA's Art in Transit programme to make travelling by metro more pleasant. Stations also have full access for passengers in wheelchairs.
