The project involves renewing 180km of catenary on the section between Biliothéque François-Mitterrand and Brétigny (Essonne) with the installation of 2000 masts and 540km of cable.
The consortium will use specialised equipment to install up to 1.4km of catenary wire per night without disrupting traffic.
Work will begin next year and the project will be completed in 2024.
