The 43km commuter rail line will link Fort Worth city centre The City of Grapevine, and Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport.
The project will also connect with the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (Dart) light rail system, Amtrak, Trinity Railway Express and the FWTA bus system.
TEX Rail is expected to open in 2018 with an estimated daily ridership of 9000, which is expected rise to 13,700 by 2035.
