Adif AV awards design supervision contract for high-speed lines

SPANISH high-speed infrastructure manager Adif AV has awarded engineering and technology group Sener a second contract for dynamic preliminary engineering and detailed design supervision on high-speed projects submitted to Adif AV by third parties.

Renfe's plan to acquire 49 high-speed trains has been called into question by Spain's competition authority.

Sener recorded the highest technical score rating of the tender. The €2.7m contract will run for 30 months.

In 2017, Sener began operating under a similar contract for the dynamic supervision of Adif AV projects, including project design for the Palencia - Aguilar de Campoo and Murcia - Almería high speed lines, the integration of the high-speed line in Vitoria city and the enlargement and refurbishment of Chamartín station in Madrid.
