The new line is 2354km long, with a top speed of 250km/h. The service has an end-to-end journey time of 13h 22min, with eight stops.
The opening of the Quzhou - Ningde line has connected eight cities to the network, and the new timetable has increased capacity in the eastern Fujian and western Zhejiang regions. Seven services have been added, including between Qingyuan - Shanghai Nan, Qingyuan - Hangzhou, Fuzhou - Songxi, Fuzhou - Zhenghe, Fuzhou - Beijing, Fuzhou - Chongqing, and Xuzhou - Fuzhou.
Four freight services have also been added along the new line.
Capacity on the Lanzhou - Xinjiang line has been increased to 24.5 pairs of services daily. This includes four pairs of trains from west Lanzhou to Urumqi and from Xining to north Xi'an, and 4.5 pairs from north Xi'an to west Lanzhou and from Taiyuan south to north Xi'an. The 16 pairs that operate via the Lanzhou - Xinjiang and Lanzhou - Qingdao lines have been diverted via the Lanzhou - Xining section to serve the new Lanzhou-Xining city cluster.
The number of freight services has been increased by 42 to meet increasing demand. This includes new services along the Haogui freight corridor, direct freight services from Fangchenggang to Kunming East, and additional coal services from Xilinhot to Wujianfang Power Plant.
The number of China - Europe services were increased, with six new routes from Xinzhu to Alashankou port and from Shijiazhuang south to Erenhot port, on the China-Mongolian border.
