The contract is worth €12.9m and is expected to be signed in June. The tender is the first for detailed technical design of the new line in Lativa.
The 56km section is divided into three sub sections: Upeslejas - Riga Central Station; Torņakalns - Imanta; and Riga International Airport - Misa river. The contractor will conduct site evaluations, value engineering, develop the master and technical design within the 24-month duration of the contract.
The supplier will also provide supervision during the construction phase, following design completion and at the start of construction work.
Seven out of the 11 procurement procedures for detailed technical design services the project have now been launched, covering 57% of the entire length of the line. Idom secured two contracts in February.
