The new Avant service started on February 16 and comprises eight through trains. Five additional journey options are available by changing trains at Córdoba.
The fastest journey by 250km/h Avant train is 2h 22min. A 2h 20min journey time is provided by one connecting service involving two 300km/h AVE trains.
The new service increases the number of high-speed trains operating on the 122km Granada - Antequera Santa Ana high-speed line, which opened in June 2019, to 12 trains per day. There are three Granada - Madrid AVE services per day and one AVE service linking Granada with Barcelona.
