Texas Central says it received more than a dozen expressions of interest in the design-build contract.

Combined with the $US 75m it has raised from Texas‐based investors, DHC's in‐kind commitment means Texas Central has secured more than $US 200m and is therefore halfway to the $US 400m it needs to obtain before moving to the final construction phase.

Texas Central says the engineering and pre-construction work will provide a firm price and implementation schedule for the project.

"This team is capable of handling the engineering and design work, cost estimation and pre‐construction analyses required in this current phase of the project that will establish the basis for an on‐time and on‐budget delivery," says Texas Central Partners CEO Mr Tim Keith.
