Deliveries will begin in late 2019 and the final tram is due to arrive in the Greek capital by April 2021.
The new trams will supplement the existing fleet of 35 AnsaldoBreda Siro LRVs.
An international tender for the contract was launched in March 2016, attracting offers from Škoda Transportation and Hyundai Rotem as well as Alstom.
