The five-section vehicles will be delivered in 2015, supplementing the existing fleet of six Variobahn vehicles, which were delivered last year and 24 Bombardier Flexity Swift LRVs dating from the opening of the network in 2000.
The 32.4m-long bidirectional vehicles have a maximum speed of 80km/h and accommodate up to 206 passengers, 72 of them seated.
