The metre-gauge vehicles will supplement the 16 Vamos LRVs delivered in 2011-2012, and will enable MoBiel to withdraw its ageing M8C trams, which are more than 30 years old. The 35m-long 2.65m-wide LRVs will be used on lines 2 and 4, where Vamos are already in service, as well as Line 3, which will be adapted for the new vehicles.

Leipzig-based Heiterblick will produce carbodies, while Kiepe Electric will provide electrical equipment for the order. Deliveries will begin in early 2020 and will take two years to complete.
