Following the inauguration by the mayor of Munich Mr Christian Ude and the CEO of Munich Transport (MVG) Mr Herbert König, around 18,000 people took the opportunity for a free ride on the €12m extension, which operates as a loop from Landsbergstrasse serving an interchange with bus, S-Bahn, regional and long-distance train services at Pasing Station as well as a new station at Pasing Town Hall.
