Services operate at six-minute intervals in peak periods, and 6-8 minutes at other times with a 30-minute service after 21.00. There are six park-and-ride stations, including the two termini, and the end-to-end journey time is 40 minutes.

Alstom was awarded a turnkey contract in 2006 to provide track, signalling, power supply, and a fleet of 21 Citadis 302 low-floor LRVs. The vehicles operate using Alstom's APS ground level power supply on a 2km section near the cathedral in the city centre, preserving the visual integrity of the cathedral and Rue Jeanne d'Arc.

Both light rail lines in Orléans are operated by Keolis.
