CVAG awarded Škoda a €35m contract in June 2016 to supply 14 bidrectional low-floor LRVs to replace the ageing Tatra T3D-M high-floor trams.

The 600V dc standard-gauge LRVs are being assembled at Škoda’s Pilsen plant and the first vehicle was delivered to Germany in November 2018. All 14 vehicles are due to arrive in Chemnitz by the end of the year.
