Eskisehir Light Rail Transport Company (esTram) awarded Škoda a €26m contract in September 2016 to supply 14 of the 30m-long metre-gauge vehicles.
Each 30m-long unidirectional tram accommodates up to 276 passengers, with four double doors and two single doors.
The fleet is equipped with Škoda’s roof-mounted Catfree system which uses high-performance nano-lithium-titanium batteries to provide a catenary-free range of up to 3km.
Škoda trams enter service in Eskisehir
The Turkish city of Eskisehir introduced its new fleet of Škoda Transportation 28T ForCity LRVs into passenger service on September 17.
