The mayor of Nice, Mr Christian Estrosi, also confirmed that the line will open on November 13, a month ahead of schedule.

Line T3 will share a 3.3km stretch of Line T2 between Airport Terminal 2 and Digue de Français, before continuing on a new 3.7km alignment to the Allianz Riviera stadium and Saint Isidore.

In December 2017 Nice Côte d’Azur Metropole exercised a €27m option with Alstom for six additional Citadis X05 low-floor LRVs and 22 ground-based Static Charging Zones (SRS), which enable catenary-free operation.
