The vehicles will be manufactured at Bombardier's Vienna factory.
The 34m-long vehicles will accommodate 211 passengers, and will have wide gangways and multipurpose areas. Bombardier says its Mitrac propulsion equipment enables the LRVs to achieve an availability rating of more than 95%.
Bombardier will be responsible for maintaining the fleet using its FlexCare maintenance management system which is designed so that it can be integrated into existing maintenance processes at Wiener Linien depots.
