Services are operated with a refurbished former class 592 DMU from Spanish operator Renfe. The train has a capacity to seat 220 passengers, although this has been restricted to 170 due to social distancing requirements.

Services re-started on January 25 and are operating daily with one intermediate stop. Through tickets from Pinamar to Buenos Aires are available, with the regional service scheduled to connect with Mar del Plata - Buenos Aires Plaza Constitución long-distance services.

Services between Buenos Aires and Pinamar were previously provided by Buenos Aires-owned operator Ferrobaires, but these were withdrawn in 2011.

The overgrown line was reopened following Pesos 286m ($US 3.3m) in repairs funded by the Argentine Federal Transport Ministry. Previous plans to resume services to Pinamar in 2015 were abandoned following weather-related infrastructure damage.
