The company's CEO and founder Mr Torben Greve - a former line manager for German Rail's (DB) long-distance subsidiary said in an interview with German business magazine Capital that the company has registered the 'Flixtrain' and 'MeinFernzug' domains and plans to launch services on unspecified routes in Austria and the Czech Republic next year.
Founded in June 2011 in Berlin, MeinFernbus has expanded rapidly since the liberalisation of the German long-distance bus market in January 2013, and now holds a 40% share of the market.
