LG Passengers is being established as part of the LG Changes restructuring programme, which is intended to bring the company into line with the provisions of the European Union’s Fourth Railway Package. The company will remain a 100% subsidiary of LG Holding and is due to begin operating in December.

“This is another important milestone for the LG Group, which will enable us to achieve our vision of establishing a modern, efficiently managed and sustainable business,” says LG CEO Mr Mantas Bartuška

“Establishing a new company will give us greater flexibility to respond to changing market conditions and provide customers with the highest quality services,” says LG Passengers CEO Mr Linas Bughys.

LG has already separated its freight activities into a new subsidiary, LG Cargo, which began operating on May 1.
