Each air-conditioned coach has 10 six-berth compartments. The vehicles will undergo a technical review and internal refresh before they enter service next year.

“During the summer we had 47% more travellers compared with 2018 on the Malmö - Berlin night train and many departures have been sold out well in advance,” says Mr Marco Andersson, Snälltåget’s marketing manager. “This means that we now choose to invest in more coaches to improve and develop the traffic.”

Snälltåget also plans to run additional trains on three days later this year between Stockholm, Malmö, and Berlin in connection with the Berlin marathon, the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and to the city’s Christmas markets.
