The work includes design, supply and installation of double track for the elevated line and aluminium conductor rail as well as four elevated stations and laying of 18.5km of predominately ballasted track in the Tuas depot.
Alstom will complete the work in 2016. The Tuas West extension will connect Joo Koon station with Tuas Link, serving an estimated 100,000 passengers per day and cutting journey times by 35 minutes.
