Not all of the two-car trains will enter service in Bursa – 19 will be dismantled for spares, while the remaining 25 will be refurbished for their new owner.

Several of the trains are being transported directly to Turkey, with the first leaving Rotterdam by road on October 19, and a second on November 13. One of these trains will be used for trials prior to the introduction of the remainder of the fleet. Most of the sets will initially be sent to Germany, where they will undergo a light overhaul.

RET has already provided training for Bursaray staff on the vehicles in Rotterdam.
