The first section of Line 2 is 15.5km long with 15 stations. Line 2 runs from Liuxinzhuang in the northeast of the city south to Jiahua Road.
Line 2 connects with Line 1 at Beiguoshangchang and interchanges with Line 3 at Shijiazhuang mainline station.
Construction of an eastern extension to Line 3 is well advanced. The first phase of the Line 3 extension has reached the railway equipment installation phase, while track laying and ancillary works are underway for the second phase.
