The 14km Gold line has 11 stations including an interchange with the north-south Red Line at Msheireb.
Gold Line services operate at five-minute intervals from 06.00 to 23.00 on Saturday to Thursday, and between 14.00 and 23.00 on Fridays.
Gold Line stations are fully accessible and air-conditioned. Each station has a customer information and Gold Club centre, separate male and female prayer areas, restrooms, security cameras and a first aid room. Live service updates are displayed on station monitors, and staff are on hand at all stations to assist passengers.
“The launch of the Gold Line service is another key milestone for Qatar Rail leading up to the delivery of our fully-fledged integrated network by 2020,” says Eng Abdulla Saif Al Sulaiti, chief of service delivery with Qatar Rail. “In the past few months, we have dedicated our efforts to deliver the expansion of Doha Metro services, and we are ahead of schedule.”
