Due to the coronavirus pandemic, London Underground will temporarily shut around 40 of its 260 stations together with the Waterloo & City Line from March 20. All-night services on the London Underground and London Overground, which normally operate on Friday and Saturday nights, will also cease.
From March 23, TfL says it will gradually reduce the frequency of services across the rail network to provide a service for critical workers and to ensure that remaining services are not overcrowded.
TfL says it will run Underground trains every 4 minutes in Zone 1, but this frequency could be reduced further. A lower frequency will also be introduced on London Overground, TfL Rail, and Docklands Light Rail (DLR) networks as well as on London Trams serving the Croydon area.
